A shoulder pedestal should not be just something to set a mount upon. Instead it should reflect the hunter, the hunt and the display area. Wildlife Woodworks consults closely with the taxidermists and habitat artists of the Wildlife Gallery to design and construct a piece that does everything you have in mind. Each pedestal is sturdy enough to hold your heaviest mount, yet elegant enough for your finest treasure.
Edel Collection
A Wildlife Gallery exclusive was named for a local Michigan hunter who asked us to custom design a base for him and the Edel was born. The hallmark of the Edel is the gently sloping sides leading up to the mount at the apex of the base. A hollow base, the Edel features cutouts on all four sides allowing for habitat or plaques to highlight the story of your hunt. Cutout shapes range from oval to the more exotic African continent and anything in between. Each base is constructed with your choice of fine quality wood. |

Lake Superior Forest Edel
The sides of the Forest Edel are of equal width and characterized by a tall, thin shape showcasing your mount as it is lifted from the floor to a grand height representative of the great trees that make up Michigan's upper peninsula. |

Great Plains Edel
The sides of the Great Plains Edel are of equal width like the Forest Edel, but the Great Plains Edel is shorter and wider than the forest Edel to hold larger animals and evoke thoughts of the Midwest’s expansive plains. |

Black Hills Edel
The Black Hills Edel maintains the classic Edel shape, but is rectangular rather than square. A true treasure, just like the Black Hills of South Dakota. |
Presidential Collection
Reflecting our great American heritage and the men who helped build this country into the grand nation it is today, the stately Presidential collection fits into any trophy room. Rising from the floor with paneled sides the Presidential collection displays your animal with pride. Options characterize this base with your choice of raised panel or flat panel sides. Panels can fall straight to the floor or gently cascade with added trim. Other choices include cutouts, inlays and animal fur panels. |

A rugged ranch owner and refined New York gentleman define Theodore Roosevelt our 26th president. This base has arch topped raised panels with several layers of trim cascading to the floor. |
